Media Advisory: 38th Annual Mount Pearl Frosty Festival Launch & Luncheon

 

January 8th, 2020 – The 38th Annual Mount Pearl Frosty Festival Launch & Luncheon will take place tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the Reid Community Centre, 126 Smallwood Drive. This year marks the largest Festival to-date with over 80 events in 12 days.

Chairperson Robert Hayes and members of the Frosty Festival Board of Directors will be joined by government partners including the Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador; the Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation; MHA Sarah Stoodley, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation; Paul Lane, MHA Mount Pearl Southlands; Jim Lester, MHA Mount Pearl North; Mayor Dave Aker; members of Mount Pearl Council; Festival sponsors; and community leaders.

About the Mount Pearl Frosty Festival

The Frosty Festival has been a fixture in the City of Mount Pearl since it began in 1983. Now, as it enters its 38th year, it has grown into the largest winter Festival in Atlantic Canada. Led by a group of dedicated volunteers, the Festival offers a quality package of diverse entertainment that caters to all sectors of the population.  This year’s Festival takes place from February 5th– 16th, 2020.
